Oaklands Winter Market

Thank you for everyone for coming out and supporting our 2017 Market! See you again on December 1st, 2018!

Interested in becoming a vendor?

Follow these simple steps to get started:

Vendors must abide by the make, bake, or grow BC Association of Farmers Markets (BCAFM) policies. Vendors must be the primary producer vending at their own tables. Only approved products that are made, baked, grown, raised, caught or wild harvest by the approved vendor can be sold at the Oaklands Winter Market Market. All products for sale need to meet the laws, regulations, and rules as specified by federal, provincial, and municipal bodies, local health authorities, Oaklands West Coast Winter Market, and the organic certifying body the vendor belongs to. It is up to the vendor to know and comply with the Provincial and Federal sales tax requirements. First priority is given to vendors who produce with a sustainable and organic focus.

The Oaklands Market Vendor Handbook is now available! All approved vendors will need to read the manual and sign a waiver stating they abide by all regulations and guidelines set in place. Please read the document thoroughly!

Before you begin your application, make sure you have approved and/or ready to complete, correct attachments with your application. This will include (where applicable) your Statement of IngredientsLiquor Tasting License, Island Health information if you are a High Risk Food Vendor or Lab Test for certain Low Risk Food Vendors. All prospective food vendors selling higher risk food must contact VIHA for health approval.
